WWE invited members of the media down to Orlando on Thursday to officially open their new $2.3 million investment into the company’s future.
The new WWE Performance Centre is the new home of WWE developmental, and is located near to Full Sail University where the new version of NXT is taped and edited.
The Performance Centre features seven wrestling rings, a self-operated promo studio, an editing suite, a gym and a specialist medical area. This means that all the talent in developmental have one consistent home to work-out, train and get medical attention from company doctors.
This investment marks a huge moment in the WWE’s history as this is a new beginning for the talent in developmental. Names such as NXT Champion Bo Dallas, NXT Women’s Champion Paige and other stars such as Kassius Ohno, Corey Graves and even newcomers like Sami Callihan who was present at the opening now have a home which they hope will propel them to the main roster.
The Wyatt Family and The Shield have previously made it to the main roster since the new version of NXT was launched in 2012.
